Enrichment

A central component of behavioral health is the power to operate on the environment, to behave for an effect. That is, behavior is an evolved mechanism to change the environment in some way that has value to the behaving individual. One way we can empower captive animals to behave effectively is providing environments enriched with opportunities to think, to act, to solve problems, and affect outcomes.
